REVIEW – I’ve been updating my EDC and talking about it on my YouTube channel for the past few months. My next category to discuss is flashlights and it turned out to be a good choice because I was recently offered the chance to review the SPERAS ARC Ti Titanium USB-C keychain flashlight. Let’s check it out and see if it has earned a spot in my EDC.
What is it?
The SPERAS ARC Ti is a keychain-sized Titanium flashlight that is USB-C rechargeable.
What’s included?
- SPERAS ARC Ti Titanium USB-C keychain flashlight
- USB-C charging cable
- 2x O-rings
Design and features
The SPERAS ARC Ti is a little guy. As you can see, it’s about 2 inches long.
You will also notice the knurled grip. Note that the knurling is very shallow so it’s more for looks than improving the grip. You will also notice that the flashlight has a large loop built into the tail cap. You can use this loop to add the light to your keychain or add a lanyard.
If you unscrew the tail cap, you’ll find the tiny 80mAh li-ion replaceable battery. This is a rechargeable battery, but don’t worry—you don’t need a special charger. The charger is built into the flashlight.
When you unscrew the flashlight, you’ll see the built-in USB-C charging port. On the opposite side of the charging port is a small charging status LED. You can also see the O-Ring. This helps keep the flashlight watertight (it has an IPX8 rating).
To control the SPERAS ARC Ti flashlight, you twist the barrel. When it’s fully turned, the light will shine at the max level of 150 lumens. If you only turn it part way, it will shine at 10 lumens. If you leave the light turned on at the max brightness, it will shine for approximately 60 minutes before running out of juice. On the 10 lumen setting, it will shine for about 5.5 hours before needing a recharge.
As long as you realize that this is a really small flashlight and isn’t something you’d want to use to find your way around in the woods at night, you won’t be disappointed. It’s great for small tasks like finding a pen that rolled under the couch, finding your way down the stairs to the circuit box when a breaker has tripped, etc.
What I like about the SPERAS ARC Ti flashlight
- Replaceable battery
- USB-C rechargeable
What needs to be improved?
Final thoughts
The SPERAS ARC Ti is an attractive small EDC flashlight that is well-made and easy to use. The built-in USB-C charging port is convenient and the ability to replace the battery makes this flashlight a nice choice for EDC gear fans.
